Zulily’s flash sales are organized by Events. The theme of this event was Office Holiday Gifts. With the nature of these products, management selected this event to push the limits of our brand voice.

Project Goal

We want to change our brand voice at the event level instead of creating one overarching standard regardless of the product type.

Problem to Solve

Zulily.com hosts thousands of different brands and each one has its own personality and appeals to a specific kind of customer. How can writers stay “on brand” while still rewarding customers with fun copy that represents the product?
